FIVE STEPS TO CONTROLLING NETWORK ACCESS | Wes Noonan
Wes Noonan describes five ways to harden the network infrastructure and protect data in the event that the network perimeter fails.
TROUBLESHOOTING VPNS | Cisco Press
MPLS VPNs are relatively complex, but by adopting an end-to-end, step-by-step approach, troubleshooting can be relatively fast and efficient. Chapter 6 of 'Troubleshooting Virtual Private Networks' by Mark Lewis focuses on the process of troubleshooting MPLS VPNs and breaks troubleshooting down into two basic elements: troubleshooting route advertisement between the customer sites and troubleshooting the LSP across the provider backbone. APRIL'S FINAL BOOK GIVEAWAY CONTEST
In our LAN administrator guide, what is Task 6? Tell us
(mailto:editor@searchnetworking.com?subject=week_4) and we'll enter your name in our random drawing for a copy of 'Network Security First-Step,' by Tom Thomas, courtesy of Cisco Press.
Congratulations to Lloyd Hemmert, network administrator at Hill Country Community MHMR Center, for winning our third Info Quest trivia contest. Lloyd correctly answered that the #1 reason why users don't like LAN administrators is because they make more money. While that isn't necessarily the truth, we thought it was a fun question and we enjoyed the responses and feedback from our readers. We've got a copy of 'The Internet and its Protocols' Morgan Kaufmann courtesy of Morgan Kaufmann heading Lloyd's way.
