Herbie: Fully Loaded is a resurrection of awesome old Disney story with characters and problems of today. Herbie finds himself Scrap and Salvage yard owned by a guy named Crazy Dave. Herbie gives Dave a working over until Herbie scum’s to a flat tire. Maggie Peyton (Lindsay Lohan) just graduates from college and her father Ray (Michael Keaton) wants to do something nice for her. They enter Crazy Dave’s Scrap and Salvage yard, Ray gives Maggie $75 and tells her to pick out a car. She finds Herbie after Herbie lands on another car destine for the crusher. The Peyton family is a racing family. Ray’s father was a famous racer so it is in their blood. Her brother is trying to learn to be a great racecar driver but he just cannot get the hang of it. With Herbie’s help, Maggie meets an old friend Kevin (Justin Long) who upgrades Herbie with performance parts of today. They bump into Trip Murphy (Matt Dillon) at a street race and beat him. This prompts Trip to sponsor a race to draw out the person that beat him.
The Movie Rental Review found this movie to be good resurrection of the old classic Love Bug movies. I grew up with Herbie and I found this movie had all the characteristics of the old Love Bug movies
