The Perfect Man is about a teenager’s quest to find the perfect man for her mother who does not want to grow old along. Holly Hamilton (Hilary Duff) has been moving around every time her single mom Jean (Heather Locklear) breaks up with another man and she is tired of it. She has gotten so use to the moving that she does not plan to attend the prom or get her picture taken for the school yearbook. Holly discovers that her mother has already attracted a real winner of a man Lenny (Mike O’Malley) and she tries to sidetrack her mother by creating the perfect man. The decision is not the most thought out and really turns out to help to come back and bite her. At school she is fitting in until she meets up with Adam (Ben Feldman), when things get to close she decides to run away from the problem like her mother. Adam is a down to earth person who has a real artistic side he expresses through his drawings. I liked his description of what Love is “it’s like friendship on fire”, very true. Holly’s invented perfect man really catches her mom’s eye and when her mom was getting to close Holly decides to break it off with the imaginary man named Ben. She quickly sees that her girl friend’s uncle “Uncle Ben” really is the perfect man for her mother.

The Movie Rental Review found this movie to be funny and sad at the same time. I think this is a great movie for the family.

I LOVE this movie. It is a really sweet movie. It is about this girl who is sick of her mom moving because her relationships don’t work out. The girl comes up with an idea to write notes and give flowers pretending to be a guy who likes her mom. She comes up with this cause she wants her mom to be happy and also doesn’t want to keep moving from place to place. A really cute movie WORTH BUYING!
